The Town of Wolfville will once again be offering after school programming for the 2020-2021 school year.
Extra precautions have been put in place to ensure the safety of participants. We will follow the lead of the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development and the Regional Centre for Education with regards to cancellations due to COVID-19 concerns. In the event that cancellations are necessary due to the pandemic, refunds will apply where payments have been made for the full session of programming.
Programs will run MONDAY-FRIDAY, beginning Monday, January 11th.
(except when Wolfville School is closed for full or half-days)
Instructors will meet student participants at Wolfville School between 2:25 and 2:45 PM and then walk as a group to the Wolfvile Rec Centre (7 Victoria Ave.)
The After the Bell program focuses on providing opportunities for physical activity to youth in junior high, with a priority on teenaged girls (*though the programs are not exclusively for females). Research shows that physical activity declines in adolescent youth, particularly in middle school-aged girls (11-15 year olds).
Yoga for Teens is a FREE 6-week program that aims to provide a welcoming environment where teens can learn about yoga, get some exercise and share successes with the group.
Sessions are taught by a certified yoga instructor, and will take place every Tuesday from 3:30 - 4:30pm, beginning October 15th, 2019 at Wolfville School.
