Compost site changes

The compost drop-off location for the Town of Wolfville will change in June.

The current Maple Avenue Compost site will close to the public at the end of day on Saturday, June 3.

On Saturday, June 10, residents will be able to deliver their compostable yard waste to the Public Works Yard at 200 Dykeland Street. Compost hours and rules will remain the same.

Residents are asked to follow all directions provided by Town Staff at the new location.

Once the Maple Avenue location is closed, reclamation of a water course will begin at the Maple Avenue site. Specifically, a deeply positioned culvert running through the property is being replaced because it is under-sized. Nova Scotia Environment and engineers may be involved in this process.

As an active construction site, no public access is permitted.
