The Town of Wolfville is looking for volunteers to take place in an amazing placemaking initiative this summer. You may be wondering, “what is placemaking?” Placemaking is an initiatives that uses a community’s culture and creativity to make public spaces more vibrant and welcoming.
This summer, Wolfville has 26 Muskoka/ Adirondack chairs available for the community to paint. Afterwards, the chairs will be placed throughout the Town for all to enjoy! The chairs will be available to paint at the Canada Day celebrations on July 1 at Willow Park. While there are no theme restrictions on the chairs, we do ask that each chair be designed in such a way that promotes all that Wolfville has to offer.
Wolfville will supply some brushes and paint in primary colours, but we ask that you bring some of your own down as well! As we have a limited number of chairs available, they will be reserved on a first come, first serve basis and registration for the chairs will remain open until noon on June 30.
