Candidate Curious Workshop

Thinking about running for a seat on Wolfville Town Council?

Town staff are offering engagement sessions to welcome folks who might be “candidate curious” as we get closer to the nomination period of our election schedule.

Candidate Curious is a session to welcome folks, manage expectations, and create a safer space where people can feel supported as they explore the idea of serving their community. 

This 90-minute session will offer an insider's look at the role, responsibilities, a review of Council's tools (budget, bylaws, policy, Municipal Planning Strategy, Municipal Government Act etc.), operations vs. governance, plus an overview to familiarize folks with the on-going projects that Council will be working on once we start the new term.

Everyone is welcome to attend!

This session will be hosted in Town Hall, in Council Chambers.

Registration is not required but it is sure appreciated so staff can make sure we have space for everyone.
