Heritage Day at the Community Oven

KWE'! PJILA'SI!

Join us at the Community Oven for Heritage Day on Monday, February 20, from 1pm to 3pm for a FREE community celebration.

This year’s Honoree is Rita Joe, a famous Mi’kmaw poet who celebrated her language, culture and way of life.

We will be joined by Doreen Smith of Glooscap First Nation, who will prepare some traditional Indigenous foods for all to try.

There will be an opportunity to help make luskinikn bread in the oven together.
