Soups and Sides - Art Hive
Eat soup. Meet new people. Build community.
Soups and Sides is a free, weekly, community meal served at the Wolfville Farmers’ Market. Everyone is invited to drop by for soup and a side of community-building activities on Monday evenings from 5 - 6:30pm.
Our menu changes each week but we always offer two soups - one is vegetarian or vegan - and we have bread and sweet treats as well.
The program was imagined by Acadia students and is supported by the Town, Acadia University and the Wolfville Farmers’ Market to help people build new relationships while enjoying equitable access to delicious food that has been prepared by our community chef, Ayzhia Beaton, from fresh Wolfville Farmers' Market ingredients.
Each week, leftover soups are donated to the ASU Food Cupboard in support of Acadia students.
Guests are welcome to make a voluntary donation to support the sustainability of the program, but this is not a requirement.
Tonight's programming is ART!
An Art Hive is a community space where people make art and connect with others. Buzz by the pop-up Art Hive at Soup and Sides on December 8, make some art and find out about a Wolfville Art Hive project. All ages and art making experiences are welcome and supplies are provided.
