Soups and Sides - Volunteer sign-up/training event
Soups and Sides is a weekly drop-in that welcomes community members to the Wolfville Farmers’ Market for soup and activities on Monday evenings from 5 - 6:30pm.
Guests are welcome to make a voluntary donation to support the sustainability of the program, but this is not a requirement.
The program was developed by Acadia students and is supported by the Town, Acadia University and the Wolfville Farmers’ Market to help people build relationships while enjoying equitable access to delicious food that has been prepared by our community chef, Ayzhia Beaton.
The program will soft-launch with a volunteer training evening on Monday, August 26 and the full program will launch on Monday, September 9.
We're looking for volunteers to help us run the Soups and Sides community meal program on Monday evenings at the Wolfville Farmers' Market. You can sign-up for one week or many weeks! Volunteers will make sure that the program is a huge success while making new connections in the community, and enjoying soup!
If you are interested in volunteering, please join us at the Farmers' Market on Monday, August 26 starting at 5pm. We will complete your volunteer registration and we will do quick training for all the positions. Then we will enjoy soup from Chef Ayzhia!
