A swift night out in Wolfville
Join Birds Canada, the Blomidon Naturalists Society, and the Town of Wolfville for a Swift Night Out in Wolfville on June 4th! We’ll begin with a presentation at the Robie Tufts Nature Centre (117 Front St) from 7:30-8:10 pm to learn about the fascinating lives of Chimney Swifts. At 8:30 pm, we’ll arrive at Acadia’s University Hall (13 University Ave) to wait for the Chimney Swifts. We hope to see you there!
Remember:
– Bring extra layers – it can cool off quickly as darkness falls!
– Binoculars are helpful, but not necessary for viewing.
– Swifts can take a while to enter the chimney, so bring a blanket or lawn chair to sit on if you’d like.
