Mud Creek Days July 24 - 27

Wolfville was once known as Mud Creek because of its mud-filled harbour. Now, every summer, we celebrate all things Wolfville – at the muddiest festival in the Valley – Mud Creek Days.

This year, Mud Creek Days is packed with fun activities that will delight folks of all ages.

We start the celebrations on Thursday evening, July 24, with a Front Street Community Oven Cookout. Then, on Friday evening, July 25, Main Street closes to traffic for an old fashioned street party with live music, a DJ, chalk art and more free, family fun.

Saturday is loaded with excitement starting with a Lions Breakfast on July 26 and followed by an all-day Art Festival in the Post Office Park.

Mudley, our Town mascot, celebrates his birthday on Saturday so we’re throwing him a huge birthday party in Clock Park. Drop by for cake, enjoy the bouncy castle and pose for photos with everyone’s favourite, furry friend.

For those who want to get dirty, the Mud Challenge happens on Saturday afternoon when Willow Park is transformed into an epic, muddy obstacle course with a huge slip and slide.

The Mud Challenge draws competitors of all abilities and the best advantage in this epic battle is a sense of fun and a willingness to get dirty. The Wolfville Volunteer Fire Department will even be there with a pumper truck to help with clean-up!

Kiddos aged 5 – 15 can test their skills in the mud from 1:30 – 2pm!

To wind down a perfect day, Colrain plays at Waterfront Park on Saturday night and fireworks are big part of the show.

Sunday is another packed day! Early risers can catch a historic walk around Mud Creek and the afternoon features the debut of a free, family-friendly  new show called “Mud Creek Magic, the Musical.” This show runs at the Al Whittle.

There’s a Sunday concert in Waterfront Park with Kim Dunn plus “Come on Down,” our monthly open-mic, rocks Willow Park starting at 4pm on Sunday, July 27.

Mud Creek Days are all about celebrating Wolfville with free access to events for folks of all ages and abilities. Community BBQs will offer food options, or pack a picnic and enjoy our parks. Local shops and restaurants will also be ready to welcome everyone.

Town staff will be available at all events for assistance and weather related programming changes will be communicated through www.wolfville.ca.
