Out of an abundance of caution, the Town has granted permission for the closure of the sidewalk and parking spaces in front of 402-406 Main Street from April 7 - 28 to allow for safe building demolition.
- Week 1 will primarily consist of interior work resulting in periodic sidewalk closure if required.
- Week 2+ (approximately 8-9 days) will see full sidewalk and adjacent parking stall closure as structural demolition takes place. Site fencing will be adjusted to maintain safety and security.
- Week 3 consists of clean up and excavation to prepare the site for construction. Site fencing will be relocated to allow for limited pedestrian access past the site.
Periodic inspections will be conducted by the Town on an as-needed basis and adjustments made if necessary to ensure public safety.
