Residents on Chestnut Avenue please be advised that crews will be paving Thursday, November 17, 2022. A detour will be setup redirecting traffic via Prince St and Riga Dr.

The water conservation advisory was first issued in August after a problem was discovered with the source water pumping system that supplies the Town’s reservoir. A new pump has now arrived in Wolfville, but supply chain issues remain as the Town works to secure an electrical part required for the pump installation.

Until the pump is up and running, the conservation advisory remains in place.

“This has been a long three months but every person and business in Wolfville needs to continue with water conservation efforts,” Wolfville Mayor Wendy Donovan said. “Until the permanent fix is complete, we all need to find ways to conserve water and keep our reservoir levels stable.”

Water conservation will look different for each Town water customer but easy ways to help include choosing showers over baths, wearing clothes a few more times before washing them, flushing your toilet less frequently, stop watering your lawn and garden, and please stop washing cars. Commercial users are asked to make usage decisions in accordance with their production needs.

There is no impact to the water quality, just the quantity.

Please be advised as of 11:49am Tuesday, November 15 an emergency watermain break on Willow Avenue has occurred, residences on Willow Avenue from Main St to Civic 10 are currently without water while crews start the repair.
