Brief History of the

Dr C.B. Lumsden, RCL Branch 74

The Dr C.B. Lumsden Branch originated on 6 July 1945.

We are a non-profit organization whose mandate is to ensure that Canadians never forget the sacrifices made by the men and women who have served their country in times of war and peace and to care for the veterans and their families, providing financial assistance, counselling and medical equipment. We also provide bursaries to graduating high school students and provide a sense of community to the residents of the Town of Wolfville and the surrounding communities. We are fast becoming the place where people choose to come to beat the stigma of being alone, to attend Acts of Remembrance, enjoy events such as live musical entertainment, cards, darts, coffee and tea socials, weekly suppers, a monthly breakfast, and to lend an ear to many in need.
