A winter storm is set to deliver a significant amount of snow over the next 24 hours. Plows will be out overnight, which means cars left on the street should expect to be be ticketed or towed. Special Olympics Nova Scotia Torch Run

Special Olympics Nova Scotia is hosting the Provincial Summer Games at Acadia University July 7 to 9. To start the games, athlete Peter Sheehan will accompany the torch along Main Street from Willow Park to Raymond Field in a procession starting at 4:30pm on Friday July 7.

The athlete will be joined by both the RCMP and Wolfville Fire Department volunteers and everyone is encouraged to cheer on the procession as it makes it way along Main Street for the opening ceremonies that begin at 5pm.

The road will remain open at this time but motorists should expect delays.
