Ponds remain closed to people and pets until further notice.
Testing of the ponds in Reservoir Park continues to indicate the presence of microcystins, which are linked to blue-green algae. Out of an abundance of caution, both the large and small pond at Reservoir Park have been closed to people and pets.
A dark film was also noted on the water.
There has also been a significant drop in water levels as a result of the on-going drought.
Testing on August 19 has informed this decision and both ponds remain closed to people and pets until further notice.
