Please be advised that starting at approximately 8pm on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, crews will be repairing/replacing a sewer main on Main Street, the working will continue overnight and possibly into the early hours of Thursday, March 6, 2025.

A detour will be directing traffic from the west down Elm Avenue to Front Street and Harbourside Drive. Traffic traveling through Town from the east will detour using  Harbourside Drive to Front St onto Elm Avenue.

This work is done during the early hours so that our very busy streets can run more freely during the daytime hours, to be less disruptive to our residents and visitors and it allows the contractor and Town staff to work safely with less traffic concerns.

This Work includes excavation, removal and disposal of existing materials, preparation of base gravels, supply, placement and finishing of concrete sidewalk, reinstatement of existing driveways, concrete curb and gutter, and landscaping and all work indicated on the Drawings.  All work is to be in accordance with Town of Wolfville specifications, the Standard Specifications for Municipal Services requirements. The Town of Wolfville is inviting applications for a Crossing Guard. This position is a permanent seasonal position.

Reporting to the Public Works Lead Hand, the successful candidate will be responsible for safely escorting school children, parents and school staff across the street at designated crosswalks.

Hours of work are September to June primarily Monday to Friday, 7:45am to 9:15am and 2:25pm to 3:45pm (a 15-hour work week). Starting wages for this position is $18.00 per hour.
