Town Clerk and Returning Officer, Laura Morrison, completed the official addition in Chambers on Tuesday, October 22, at 10am.

The Council-elect will be sworn-in on Wednesday, October 30 at 3pm in Chambers. Everyone is welcome to attend.
Main Street will be closed at civic 620 with detours in place on Tuesday, October 22 starting at 6am.
Staff anticipate the road to re-open at 10am.
Traffic control will also be in place throughout Town on the day to provide safety in other locations where paving and patching needs to be addressed.
Motorists are asked to use cation around worksites.
Wolfville, NS – Voters have elected a new Council in the Town of Wolfville, after 49.1 per cent of eligible voters returned ballots in the 2024 Municipal Election. Voting occurred online and by telephone, between October 10 and 19.

Glenn Horne is Wolfville’s CAO. He was at Town Hall for the final count.
“I’d like to thank everyone who put their names forward in this election,” Horne said. “It takes tremendous courage and desire to give back to one’s community to stand for public office. Thank you as well to the staff who made significant efforts to provide an open and fair election. I look forward to working with the newly elected Council as it leads our wonderful, growing Town.”
Council will be sworn-in at a ceremony at Town Hall later this month. One Councillor will be elected by their peers to become Deputy Mayor in November. The Deputy Mayor will serve for one year.

A detour will direct traffic travelling west onto Elm Avenue along Front Street and Harbourside Drive. Traffic travelling from the east will detour onto Harbourside Drive, along Front Street and Elm Avenue.
