Council has a new strategic plan

Council Hero Formal 2024

In June 2025, with the assistance of Jacques Dubé and Town staff, Council workshopped a renewed Strategic Plan to establish priorities and to guide the Town's actions through 2029.

This plan was informed by what was heard during the 2024 municipal election campaign, through ongoing community feedback and by discussions around the Council table.

As Mayor of Wolfville, Jodi MacKay was happy to see the Strategic Plan approved by Council on October 21.

"Council is excited to share our new Strategic Plan that represents Wolfville’s shared vision for the future — a vibrant, inclusive, and sustainable community where everyone feels at home," MacKay said. "It builds on our Town’s deep sense of connection and creativity while charting a clear path into the future that reflects our values. Together, Council and staff are strengthening the foundation for a thriving Wolfville."

Now that Council has set the strategic direction, they will work with the support of Town staff to make informed decisions on budgets, plans, bylaws, and policies that will shape Wolfville today and into the future.

Chief Administrative Officer Glenn Horne sees this as an important milestone for Council and Staff at the Town.

"The 2025-29 Strategic Plan creates a clear vision for Wolfville," Horne said. "I am excited to work with Council and staff to bring these priorities to life."

The Strategic Plan notes that Council decisions are strengthened by staff research, recommendations and by community ideas and insights. The Strategic Plan also reaffirms a commitment to ongoing communication and collaboration through community interactions, public discussions and listening sessions.
