What is it?
A fun, educational body literacy workshop intended to empower youth ages 8-12 with the knowledge they need to have a positive relationship with their period and cycle.
Welcome to the world of Period Positivity!
In the workshop we are re-storying menstruation and the female body for pre-teens. Topics like menstruation, ovulation and female reproductive anatomy are normalized explicitly as vital body functions that are not only a part of living a healthy life, but help keep you healthy. Together we explore why and how that is.
Who is it for?
The Period Positivity Workshop is for youth ages 8-12, regardless if they have started menstruating or not, and a caregiver.
A caregiver could be a parent, older sibling, aunt/uncle, grandparent, or godparent. Intergenerational registration welcome (ex: youth, parent, and grandparent)!
You may bring more than one child and more than one caregiver if you wish.
People of all sexes, genders, gender expressions or identities are encouraged to attend. This workshop is for you if you want to empower the youth you know with body literacy knowledge, or/and if the youth you know have questions about menstruation or the female reproductive cycle that you don't know how best to answer.
