A water conservation advisory issued three months ago for Wolfville residents and businesses has finally been lifted.
The water conservation advisory was first issued in August after a problem was discovered with one of the source water pumping systems that supplies the Town’s reservoir. Supply chain issues plagued the delivery and installation of a new pump, but today, Wolfville’s Director of Engineering and Public Works announced that the Town is back to its full compliment of two working pumps.
The return to service of the second pump provides additional stability and security for water levels in Wolfville’s reservoir and with this critical infrastructure restored, it is now safe to lift the water conservation advisory.
