Please be advised that crews will be working on Main Street, Monday, November 18, 2024.

Starting at 6am crews will be blocking off parking spaces at 465 Main Street and 402 Main Street to accommodate the work which will start at 8am going to 4pm, these parking spaces will be unavailable during the work.

Traffic control personnel will be present to control the flow of traffic as Main Street will be down to one lane  between Elm Avenue and Linden Avenue and also Central Street to Gaspereau Avenue. Temporary sidewalks will be setup during this work, pedestrians and motorists are asked to proceed with caution.

The Town of Wolfville seeks quotations for the assessment of indoor air quality in two municipal buildings: the current Town Hall and the Library. The purpose of this assessment is to determine current conditions related to key indoor air quality parameters. The Town is specifically seeking testing for mould spore concentrations, carbon dioxide, and carbon monoxide levels, while excluding measurements for VOCs, temperature, and relative humidity. Testing must adhere to the guidance and requirements outlined by the Canadian Centre for Occupational Health and Safety (CCOHS) for non-industrial workplaces, as applicable. 

Quotations will be received until 14:00, local time, Tuesday, December 3, 2024. All quotations must be submitted electronically in a single PDF file, by email with the subject line reading “Submission for WOL015-2024 – INDOOR AIR QUALITY TESTING - TOWN HALL AND LIBRARY” sent to:  Karen Outerleys at kouterleys@wolfville.ca

Wallace Place Road Closure, No Access

On Wednesday November 13, 2024, between 8:00am & 4:00pm crews will be excavating for a new service installation that will be taking place on Wallace Place. Please be advised that Wallace Place will be completely closed during the installation.

Please be prepared for a possible water interruption, bring in water prior to 8am Wednesday, November 13th that you may require during this work.

Please be advised there will be a road closure near civic 74 Highland Avenue, Thursday, November 7, 2024 from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm.  Vehicles travelling north will detour onto Fairfield Street to Hillside Avenue and onto Pleasant Street. Vehicles travelling south with detour onto Pleasant Street to Hillside Avenue and onto Fairfield Avenue. Catherine Court will remain open for local traffic only.

Wolfville's new Council was sworn-in before a crowd of family, friends, community partners, Town staff and former members of Council at a brief ceremony in Chambers on October 30.

Jodi MacKay took the Oath of Office, becoming Wolfville's new Mayor.

Jennifer Ingham, Wendy Elliott, Ian Palmeter and Mike Butler were welcomed back to their Council positions. Kelly van Niekerk and Howard Williams begin their first term on Council.

One of first decisions made by the new Council was the election of a Deputy Mayor. Councillor Jennifer Ingham accepted both the nomination and the appointment to the position that has a term of one-year.
