After the Bell - Yoga for Teens

Registration for the Winter Session is Now Open!

The After the Bell program focuses on providing opportunities for physical activity to youth in junior high, with a priority on teenaged girls (*though the programs are not exclusively for females).  Research shows that physical activity declines in adolescent youth, particularly in middle school-aged girls (11-15 year olds).

Yoga for Teens is a FREE 8-week program that aims to provide a welcoming environment where teens can learn about yoga, get some exercise and share successes with the group.

Sessions are taught by a certified yoga instructor, and will take place every Tuesday from 3:30 - 4:30pm, beginning in January, 2019 at Wolfville School.

Students must register in order to take part.  Please email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. to receive the registration and waiver form, or for more information.

Community Recreation Engagement Group

Our inaugural meeting in October was a great start to this group, but we would love to see more community groups represented!

Information posted below describes the group's basic purposes and discussion points.  Next meeting will be January 24th, 2018.

Among topics of discussion will be Wolfville's inclusion in the ValleyConnect.ca Partnership.  We will facilitate your group's entries into this master database of all things recreation in the Annapolis Valley.  Stay tuned for more information!

This group will meet periodically to discuss all aspects of recreation in Wolfville, including:

  • Current programs being offered in Wolfville (by all stakeholders)
  • Opportunities for improvements and expansion
  • Facility access and booking challenges
  • Partnership opportunities
  • Communication – between groups, organizations and with the public

CREG will hold no formal membership, and is open to any and all interested parties with a vested interest in recreation.  For the purposes of this group and its function, Recreation is broadly defined as any activity of leisure (i.e. not just “sports”, but all leisure activities).

Participation will be the defining factor in the effectiveness of our Community Recreation Engagement Group.  With significant community buy-in, resource sharing and discussion of ideas, there is great potential for mutual benefit.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact:
