Registration Form Earth Camps 2021 Fillable

 

This summer, your Parks and Recreation team will be offering five fun-packed weeks of Earth Leadership Summer Camps! Through storylines, engaging activities and lots of magic, each camp is an opportunity for youth to connect with the natural world!

 

Camp Days: Monday - Friday 8:30 am - 4:30 pm

Drop-off and Pick-up: Rotary Park, 7 Victoria Ave, Wolfville NS

Camp Staff to the camp participant ratio: 1: 5

Fork and Farm Camp 

Dates: July 5th - 9th 

Ages: 9 - 13 

Time: 8:30 am - 4:30 am

At Fork and Farm camp we will go beyond the dinner plate to see how our food grows, where it comes from and learn about our impact on local food systems! We will get our hands dirty and try new things, and if we're clever we will unlock the ancient farming code! 

 

Wizard Quest Camp 

Dates: July 19th - 23rd 

Ages: 6 -8 

Time: 8:30 am - 4:30 am

Wizard Quest is a week-long wizard training camp! There is much to discover when we choose to see the world with a keen eye for all things magical, what can we create? What will we learn? Who will we encounter? See you there young wizards!

 

Citizen Science Camp 

Dates: July 26th - 30th 

Age: 9 -13

Time: 8:30 am - 4:30 am

As citizen scientists, we will be challenged to explore nature with a keen eye! Each day we will be tasked with a new mission, as a team, we will put all of our brains together to solve the clues, collect data, explore with experts and learn from nature! Are you up for the challenge young scientists? 

 

Girls for Adventure Camp 

Dates: Aug. 9th - 13th 

Ages: 7 - 13

Time: 8:30 am - 4:30 am

This camp is for female-identifying youth! As a team of adventurers, we will spend our week challenging ourselves to try new things, reflect, learn, and grow together. We will build our wilderness, navigation and exploring skills! 

 

Nature Explorers 

Dates: Aug. 16th - 20th 

Ages: 6 - 8

Time: 8:30 am - 4:30 am

As nature explorers, we will spend our week learning about the Earth's ecosystems! From one adventure to the next we will encounter nature in new and surprising ways! We might even run into Explorer Sprout, who always has something to show us!

The Mudley Fund is a non-profit program that helps children and youth from the Town of Wolfville participate in sport, recreational, and cultural activities who could not otherwise do so because of financial limitations.

The Mudley Fund promotes:

  • Physical Activity Confidence & Self-Esteem
  • Building Health & Wellness Leadership
  • Skills
  • The Development of Friendships
  • The Opportunity to be part of a team or program

 

Mudley Fund Criteria: 

  • Participant must be 18 years old or under
  • Request for funding support must be submitted at least 2-weeks before the desired program 
  • Applicant must provide a reference who can vouch for the need for financial assistance 
  • The request must be made for one program at a time 
  • Requests can be up to a maximum of $300
